Mike Dermo is a seasoned CPG executive with 30 years of retail experience with Novartis, Nestle and Nutrisystem, leading iconic brands such as Gerber® baby food, Boost® adult nutrition, Nutrisystem® weight loss and South Beach Diet® products across all channels as well as both OTC and Grocery categories.
While at Gerber, Mike progressed through numerous positions of responsibility and authority. As Head of Sales for North America, he led the Gerber brand to an all-time high share while managing both Internal and external sales teams. Mike was an integral leader when Gerber launched the Gerber Graduates brand of toddler food which created a new consumer category.
After 17 years with Gerber, Mike moved on to Nutrisystem where he could achieve his passion for building brands at Retail. Mike acted as Retail general manager and built a product offering to support the iconic Nutrisystem direct to consumer brand. His CPG knowledge and industry partnerships allowed helped catapult a successful $50m+ brand in the Retail space in less than 4 years and created a new “weight loss kit” sub category.
Mike left Nutrisystem in 2021 and has been consulting in the CPG space focused on brand building, “go to market strategies,“ and sales agency management.
