Description
David Rapps is an entrepreneur, technologist, and brand-builder focused on solving complex problems and creating scalable, impactful businesses. He is the Founder and CEO of Wholescale, a technology company on a mission to restore trust in modern commerce. Wholescale enables retailers, marketplaces, brands, and sellers to collect and distribute authentic consumer content—such as ratings and reviews—across a fragmented digital ecosystem to drive discovery, conversion, and consumer trust.
David also leads ReviewHub, Wholescale’s syndication platform considered the “Zapier of review syndication.” ReviewHub connects authenticated, moderated review content to retailers and marketplaces through a headless and Shopify-integrated architecture, supporting modern e-commerce flows and enhancing customer experience at scale.
Prior to Wholescale, David served as CEO of Calego International Inc., where he helped evolve its iFLY brand from a direct-to-retail label into a nationally recognized omnichannel leader. Under his leadership, Calego earned Walmart’s coveted Supplier of the Year award in 2018. His background also includes time as a corporate lawyer and an assistant producer in live and televised comedy. While in law school, he co-founded ZOJO Games and developed the first-ever mobile app offering daily fantasy snake drafts.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws, and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University. While at McGill’s Faculty of Law, he was awarded the Harry Batshaw Prize for academic excellence in the foundations of law. His diverse experiences—spanning law, media, gaming, and retail—continue to shape his mission of helping brands and retailers build meaningful, trusted connections with consumers.
